Congratulations to our new director and shareholder 

We are pleased to announce a new member of our Board of Directors and a new shareholder.   

Derek Mello has been newly elected to the Board. Derek earned a Certificate in Construction Management from Roger Williams University and attended the Civil Engineering program at Bristol Community College. Derek joined S.W.COLE as a Construction Services Manager in 2017 when we acquired Tibbetts Engineering Corporation in Taunton, Massachusetts. Derek helped guide two relocations of the office and the current expansion of the operation in Easton, Massachusetts, and serves as the Easton Office Manager. He has earned multiple certifications in construction materials testing from ACI and NETTCP. Derek has served on the Board of Directors of SWCE Holdings, LLC, our real estate holding company. He is a 2022 graduate of the Stephen W. Cole Emerging Leaders Program.  

S.W.COLE’s shareholders approved Brandon Chaput’s selection to become a shareholder in 2025. Brandon earned an A.S. degree in Electromechanical Technology from Central Maine Community College. He has earned construction materials testing and special inspections certifications from ACI, ICC and NETTCP. He joined S.W.COLE in the Sidney, Maine office as a Construction Services Technician in 2009 and received promotions to CST – Grade III in 2019, Assistant Construction Services Manager in 2023, and Construction Services Manager in 2024. Brandon is a 2022 graduate of the Stephen W. Cole Emerging Leaders Program.
