Job Description
Start building a career in construction materials testing—no experience needed. We’ll train you and pay you while you learn. We’re currently hiring a full-time, entry-level Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

What You’ll Do
- Drive to construction sites and perform construction materials testing on soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, aggregate, and other materials, and report results
- Pick up samples from clients and project sites
- Use a computer or tablet to document observations and test results
- Assist with laboratory testing when not working in the field
- Learn to read and understand design plans and specifications
- Train for industry certifications and continue developing your skills
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform basic math and accurately record observations and test results
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (we are not able to sponsor employment visas at this time)
Work Schedule & Environment
- Role includes physical activity such as lifting and carrying samples of various construction materials including soil and concrete, walking through construction sites, and pushing a wheelbarrow
- Typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs
- Early mornings, late evenings, and regular overtime are common during the construction season
- Work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather conditions and construction site environments
- Frequently work independently while representing S.W. Cole on construction sites
- Interact with contractors, project teams, and other construction professionals
- Frequent travel to job sites for sample pickup or field testing
