Project Experience
Since 1979, S.W.COLE has worked on many different types of projects all over New England. Our services are needed on projects in many different sectors of the market, including the government, healthcare, education, transportation, energy, industrial, retail, commercial and housing sectors – and we have worked extensively in each of these sectors.
Our Clients
Wondering where you fit in our world? S.W.COLE works with all types of clients working within the A/E/C industry – architects, engineers, contractors and construction companies, private owners, developers, real estate agencies, environmental consultants, municipalities, government agencies, specialty subcontractors and others. Because our services are needed at various stages of a construction project’s building schedule, we commonly find ourselves working for different players along the way.
Sectors that we work in include:
- Government and Municipal: Our experience with government and municipal projects includes federal, state and local government courthouses, jails and prisons, municipal facilities, public works projects and similar work.
- Healthcare: We’ve provided services on small additions to medical offices buildings to a brand new, state-of-the-art, 600,000 sf hospital and everything in between.
- Housing: We have worked on many different types of housing projects, including apartment complexes, subdivisions and new developments, condominiums and townhouses, senior living and assisted living facilities, and other related housing projects.
- Energy: Our experience in the sector includes electrical transmission and substation projects, dams, wind energy projects, hydroelectric power projects, solar arrays, pipeline projects, biofuel and other alternative power source projects, and more.
- Transportation: We have worked with transportation departments, municipalities and other project owners on bridges, road improvements, culverts, pedestrian improvements, railroads, airports and other projects.
- Education: Our experience with education projects includes early childhood centers, elementary schools, middle schools, K-8 schools and high schools as well as colleges and universities. We’ve worked on large scale projects – such as brand new schools, renovations and extensions – and smaller projects like boiler updates and playground additions.
- Retail and Commercial: Our experience with retail and commercial projects includes big box stores, shopping malls, mixed use buildings, restaurants, hotels, casinos, car dealerships, office buildings and more.
- Industrial: Our experience with industrial projects includes work at warehouses, food processing facilities, recycling and waste facilities, paper mills, biotech facilities, biomass heating facilities, breweries, clothing and manufacturing facilities. We have worked on many different types of projects at these facilities, including expansions and renovations, new buildings, wastewater treatment plants, landfill closures, parking lots, machinery pads, docks and underground storage tank removals.
