Promotions on our team

Congratulations to our team members who have recently earned promotions! We appreciate their hard work and commitment to growth.

Mike St. Pierre, P.E. was promoted to Principal Geotechnical Engineer in our Sidney, Maine office. Mike joined S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. in October of 2010 as a Geotechnical Engineer and most recently served as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. He is the Office Manager at our Sidney, Maine location. He also serves as President on the Board of Directors of SWCE Holdings, LLC, our real estate holding company.

Mike has Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in Maine and New Hampshire. He is a graduate of the Fundamentals of Professional Practice Course from the Geoprofessional Business Association.

Mike is a member of the Maine section for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). In 2015, S.W. Cole won the Grand Conceptor Award through the ACEC Maine Engineering Excellence Awards for work Mike completed on the North Haven Beach Bridge Replacement project.

Evan Walker, P.E. is now the Office Manager for our Gray, Maine location. Evan joined S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. in 2007 as a Geotechnical Engineer, and was promoted to Senior Geotechnical Engineer in 2020. He also serves on the Board of Directors of SWCE Holdings, LLC, our real estate holding company.

Evan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in Maine. He is a graduate of the Fundamentals of Professional Practice Course from the Geoprofessional Business Association.

Evan is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Structural Engineers Association of Maine (SEAM). In 2007, Evan was inducted into the Francis Crowe Society at the University of Maine.

Kathy Carlson was promoted to Human Resources Representative based at our corporate office in Hermon, Maine. Kathy joined S.W. Cole in August 2019 as an Administrative Assistant and most recently served as a Human Resources Assistant. She plays a significant role in our recruitment efforts and onboarding processes for new employees. Her organization and attention to detail help to keep things running smoothly.

Christian Barrett has been promoted to Construction Services Technician – Grade II in our Gray, Maine office. Christian joined S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc. in April 2020 as a Construction Services Technician and was previously promoted to Construction Services Technician – Grade I. He has previous experience in the industry, having worked for a construction firm as a carpenter. Since joining S.W. Cole, Christian has earned certifications in construction materials testing and special inspections.

Judson Irish has been promoted to Construction Services Technician – Grade I at our Londonderry, New Hampshire office. Judson joined S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc. in April 2023 as a Construction Services Technician. He has obtained multiple certifications in construction materials testing.

Ian Jarvis has been promoted to Construction Services Technician – Grade I in our Gray, Maine office. Ian joined S.W. Cole in July 2023 as a Construction Services Technician. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Saint Anselm College. Ian holds multiple certifications in construction materials testing and special inspections.
