Safety Award honors success of our loss prevention program

We were proud to receive a Safety Award for Most Effective Loss Prevention Program from the Maine State Group Trust. The award recognizes the quality of our loss prevention and control program, under the leadership of Jess Smith, GSP, Director of Health and Safety. The Maine State Group Trust was created by a group of employers to provide workers’ compensation protection.

According to Matthew Stanley, Sr. Loss Control Consultant, “Given the past three years of significant performance improvement due to safety systems integration leading to far reaching employee engagement in loss prevention, S.W.COLE was nominated for the most effective program in 2023. There’s a good loss prevention and control program currently being executed by S.W.COLE around three levels of greatest importance including past loss, inherent business risk, and employee engagement and perceptions. It’s my belief that these are the three areas necessary for long term sustainability and S.W.COLE’s safety program is a model for sustained success.”

The success of our safety programs would not be possible without Jess’s leadership. Jess is known throughout the company for her hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for all things health and safety.
